Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Built on the old Chinese domino game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the east with the western in a great game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the croupier, not like the majority of other poker games that players compete with other gamblers. By gambling against the dealer, starting players do not have to worry about other, more skillful players taking their moolla.

An additional Pai Gow advantage is the generally slow game pace, beginners should be able to take their time and scheme without having to make frenzied selections.

It is also much simpler to bet on for a very long time with only a little amount of cash after all, to not win, each of your hands must be under each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card basic deck and one joker. The gambler is given 7 cards faces showing and the house is given 7 cards face down.

A 5 card hand and one two card hand must be made from the seven cards, the 5 card hand has to be better than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the dealer’s.
