No-Limit Texas Holdem Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?

Phil Ivey has been branded as the greatest poker contender in the world by many of the top-ranked professionals. Phil was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to NJ before reaching the age of one. His grandfather taught Phil penny-ante Five-Card Stud poker. From then on on, Phil was addicted to poker and wanted to pickup whatever he possibly could about poker. Phil routinely told his grandparents that he wanted to be a professional poker player. He did not permit the negative feedback from other people annihilate his ambition of being one of the greatest poker players on the planet.
He started competing seriously after getting a fake ID by the name of Jerome. He practiced his techniques at the casinos in Atlantic City. The first number of years for Phil were a teaching opportunity and winning wasn’t a common thing at the time. He made his mark at the 2000 World Series of Poker when he achieved two final tables and came away with his first WSOP bracelet, in a two dollar, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha match. At the closing table he destroyed many of the well known professionals which includes "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.
He decided to take his game to the successive level and headed out west to Las Vegas. Phil continues to participate in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players in the world. Phil credits his achievements to hard work and an eternal love for poker. Phil says that he’s picking up skills every day and is incredibly abashed about his achievements. He knows he makes blunders every single session of poker and constantly strives to improve.
Although Ivey has won some large tournaments, he prefers winning money games on a regular basis.
