Online poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years numerous variants on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling blackjack than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the casino rather than each other. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little bluffing or other types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the croupier saying "No more bets." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different gamblers receive five cards. After you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s first card, you have to either make a call wager or give up. The call bet’s value is on same level to your beginning wager, meaning that the risks will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your wager goes instantly to the dealer. After the bet is the face off. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, plus an amount on par with the original wager. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The house pony’s up cash equal to your wager and controlled odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
